Big Blue Extruder

The North Star Big Blue Extruder stands out with its unique design and functionality. It prioritizes simplicity, safety, and power. Featuring a 6 x 6 x 12 inch aluminum barrel, it can hold a full 25-pound pug of clay and produce extrusions up to 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches without the need for an expansion box.

Unlike other extruders, the Big Blue does not have heavy bars or levers that could cause injury. It is entirely hand-driven, with a large handle that operates a compound rack-and-pinion gearbox. This mechanism significantly reduces the force required to make an extrusion, requiring no more than thirty pounds of force at the handle for an average extrusion.
