Sea Mist is a mottled blue-green glaze that brings a tranquil, natural vibe to any piece. As one of the Texas Two-Step overcoats, it can be layered with Licorice, Coffee Bean, or Brick Red to achieve the signature oilspot effect.
On its own, Sea Mist has the unique ability to develop pale spots, adding depth and interest to its surface. When used in combination with the undercoats, it creates stunning, varied patterns during firing. Thicker applications result in larger spots, while applying wax resist after the first layer allows for creative negative space designs. Whether used alone or in conjunction with other glazes, Sea Mist is an excellent choice for both decorative and functional ware.
