Description:
Like the name describes, Chestnut fires a rich, warm, mustard brown color. We have used the cleanest firing red stoneware clay as the basis of this clay body along with other stoneware and ball clays to achieve excellent handling and firing properties. Our Chestnut clay is suitable for functional and sculptural ceramic projects.

Characteristics:
For best results, fire at cone 5 with a 10 minute hold. A lot of air in the kiln during the bisque can help result also to reduce carbon being trapped in the kiln. If fired above cone 6, bloating can easily occur.,
